Vik Bhandari is the managing director and partner of FRS, specialising in technical accounting and IFRS advice for both clients and the FRS team. He is also responsible for the financial statements quality review process and business development.
Vik is a member of the Facility of Financial Services and Corporate Governance of the Institute of Public Accountants and brings to FRS a wealth of technical expertise with over 22 years’ experience in the audit and accountancy field, having worked on three separate continents. Before joining FRS, Vik was an Executive Director at Ernst & Young (E&Y) in the audit division and led the financial statements team. Vik was a member of the E&Y Oceania IFRS desk and Technical Consulting Group, where he provided IFRS advice, best practice guidance and training to E&Y partners, staff and clients and reviewed ASX listed and other company financial statements for disclosure compliance.
Vik has been involved with the IFRS transition projects for several ASX listed entities and has been actively involved in providing NSW Government entities and other clients’ specific advice on a number of complex accounting matters. Vik is a circuit lecturer and has presented extensively on IFRS for the accounting professional bodies, universities, clients, accounting and audit firms.

Rob Mackay is head of the Melbourne office of FRS. He specialises in technical accounting and IFRS advice for clients and the FRS team as well as providing input to FRS Pinnacle publications. Rob also has responsibilities relating to the FRS financial reporting preparation and review process as well as business development.
Rob is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a member of the Governance Institute of Australia. He has been a member of the Faculty of Accounting Regulation of the Institute of Public Accountants, and provided training, advisory and research work on behalf of each of the three accounting bodies in Australia as well has having contributed to each of their published journals. Rob spent a decade as the chief author of a suite of financial reporting publications distributed throughout Australia.
Rob brings to FRS over 22 years of accounting and assurance experience. He was previously the National Technical Director and Partner with Moore Stephens, a senior member of PwC accounting consulting teams, and was an Executive level officer at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission where he was responsible for the Financial Reporting Surveillance Programme of ASX entities as well as developing and monitoring ASIC policy relating to financial reporting compliance and relief matters.

Michael Berrington a director, partner and founder of FRS and has personally developed and enhanced the financial reporting software since 2004. His primary responsibilities within FRS are system development, implementation and evolution.
Prior to establishing FRS, Michael worked for PricewaterhouseCoppers (PwC). He has over 17 years of financial reporting experience, mainly dealing with the requirements of listed and large proprietary companies.
He is the chief architect of the financial reporting software, which produces high quality financial statements and supporting reports, and various other tools such as the Cash Flow Calculator.
